PURPOSE:To obviate the stop of an inverter circuit at light out so as to facilitate the relighting by stopping the high voltage applied synchronously to a discharge lamp so as to put out the discharge lamp. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 6 draws out the base current of a transistor Q1 by turning on a transistor Q3, according to the voltage from a dimmed light signal source 4, so as to change the on/off duty. Hereby, the duty rate of inverter output changes to perform the dimming of a discharge lamp. And, the light out control can also be performed by changing the dimmed light signal voltage. This way, the control is performed by changing the voltage across the both ends of the discharge limp without aid of an inverter circuit or control method. |
