PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the machining to a material to be carried from both surfaces thereof without complicating a process. SOLUTION: This carrying device is provided with a carrying support member 1 for supporting the material 10 to be carried along the predetermined carrying direction, a rear end side carrying member 2 for holding the material 10 to be carried supported by the carrying support member 1 from any one of upper and lower holding directions to carry it in the carrying direction and to be reset after the material 10 to be carried is supported by the carrying support member 1, and a tip side carrying member 3 positioned at a tip in the carrying direction with a space from the rear end side carrying member 2 and to be synchronously displaced with the rear end side carrying member 2 and for holding the material 10 to be carried supported by the carrying support member 1 from the holding direction to carry it in the carrying direction and to be reset after the material 10 to be carried is supported by the carrying support member 1.
