PURPOSE: A case for a manual transmission is provided to improve cleanliness of the inside of a transmission, durability, and performance by making coating of sealer uniform and preventing sealer from flowing in a case. CONSTITUTION: A case(51) for a manual transmission has a change gear, parts, and oil of proper quantity within the case. Sealer(57) is coated on the joining surface(53) to prevent the oil from leaking. A guide groove(55) guiding the coating of the sealer and preventing the sealer from coming in the case is formed to at least a side of the joining surface. The guide groove has a hemisphere shaped-section and a diameter of from 1.2 mm to 1.6 mm the same as the diameter of coating of the sealer. Therefore uniform coating of the sealer is performed and inflow of the sealer into the case is prevented. |
