A drawing (1) unit for a spinning machine has a pair of output rollers (4) with an upper roller (4.1) and a lower roller (4.2) feeding a fibre bundling zone (5). The zone (5) has a pneumatic-operated press unit (6) with a suction shoe (12) traversed by a perforated belt (7) linked to a vacuum pump (15). The fibre bundling zone (5) is limited by two clamp points (K1, K2). The perforated belt (7) also passes around the output rollers. The first clamp point (K1) is defined by the two roller (4) peripheries and the belt (7). The second clamp point (K2) is defined by a twist-stop (20). The fibre strip (10) is transported from the output rollers (4) to the compression zone (5) by the perforated belt (7). The twist-stop (20) is located in the rear part of the suction shoe.
