PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil feeder efficiently using lubricating oil overflowed from an air hole without polluting the working environment and provide a linear movement device using the same. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil feeder 4 is attached to a slide member to be engaged with a raceway track shaft via a rolling element. This feeder is provided with an application body 41 abutting on the raceway track shaft so as to apply the lubricating oil to the raceway track shaft, an absorption body 42 absorbing the lubricating oil, retaining it, and feeding the lubricating oil to the application body 41, a flow control means 43 controlling the quantity of the lubricating oil to be fed from the absorption body 42 to the application body 41, and a casing 40 having a lubricating oil storing chamber 44 for storing the application body 41, the absorption body 42, and the flow control means 43. The casing 40 is provided with a lubricating oil supply hole 6 supplying the lubricating oil to the absorption body 4 from the outside. The air hole 55 communicating the lubricating oil storing chamber 44 to the outside of the casing 40 is opened in a surface opposite to the raceway track shaft of the casing 40.
