PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosshead sliding shoe allowing a variety of sliding surface materials to be selected. SOLUTION: This crosshead sliding shoe 3 guides a piston rod 12 (particularly, the piston rod 12 of a two-stroke cycle diesel engine 1). A crosshead 2 is supported on the sliding shoe and moved along a sliding path 45. A material for supporting the sliding shoe 3 is formed as a supporting plate 5. The supporting plate as a pre-formed member is fixed to a member 30 functioning as a carrier for the sliding shoe. A connection between the supporting plate 5 and the carrier 30 is performed in the relation of being at least partially fixedly fitted to each other.
