METHOD OF FABRICATING LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL

PURPOSE: A method of fabricating a liquid crystal panel is provided to form a metal layer through CMP technique using a sacrificial layer. CONSTITUTION: A sacrificial layer is coated on a substrate. The sacrificial layer is patterned in a manner that the sacrificial layer has a recess. A metal is filled in the recess of the sacrificial layer. A portion of the metal, deposited on the part of the sacrificial layer other than the recess, is polished using chemical mechanical polishing technique to form a gate electrode and a gate line. A gate insulating layer is formed on the substrate. A semiconductor layer, a source electrode and drain electrode(38) are formed on the gate electrode. A passivation layer(39) and a pixel electrode(40) connected to the drain electrode are formed on the substrate.
