<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive printer of a small size having transporting routes capable of protecting the print surfaces of recording media during transportation and assuring the stabilization time of the print images formed on the print surfaces. SOLUTION: This printer 1 has a device body 100 provided with various printing processing sections which subject the media 3 to various kinds of printing processing. The device body is provided with a housing section for the media which is arranged on its upper side, a take-out section for the recording media which is arranged in the uppermost part of the device body adjacent to this housing section, the transporting routes which are formed from the housing section to the take-out section and a switch back section 64 which is capable of maintaining the print surfaces of the media transported in the transporting routes always upward. The transporting routes extend approximately like loops along the top surface, under surface and flanks of the device body so as to include the respective printing processing sections. The switch back section is disposed on the transporting route 62 between the transporting route of the top surface of the device body and the transporting route on the under surface thereof.</p> |
