PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing box capable of cutting costs by reducing the usage of a cushioning material and capable of facilitating setting operations for the cushioning material. SOLUTION: The packing box 10 for packing an article 11 is provided with a tray 20, the plural cushioning materials and a carton member 32. The tray 20 has a bottom surface part and raised parts 62, 64, 66 and 68, respectively, raised for formation from the four sides of the bottom surface part. The cushioning materials are separately disposed in respective corner parts 80, 82, 84 and 86 within the tray 20 and respectively fixed to the inner surface of the bottom surface part so as to bring about cushioning against force applied to the article 11. The carton member 32, having a space surrounding the periphery of the article 11, is held by having a lower part inserted into a gap formed between the two adjacent inner surfaces of the raised parts 62, 64, 66 and 68 near the respective corner parts 80, 82, 84 and 86 and the two adjacent outer surfaces of the cushioning materials.
