PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the surface of a photoreceptor drum 4 and to sufficiently secure the sealing between a developing housing 10 and the drum 4 while preventing torque from being increased. SOLUTION: Circular-arc shaped surfaces 40 and 42 are formed at upper ends at the forefront ends of the front side wall 14 and the rear side wall 16 of the developing housing 10. The surfaces 40 and 42 are equipped with small- diameter parts 40a and 42a, large-diameter parts 40b and 42b and middle parts 40c and 42c. Side sealing members 44 and 46 are stuck to the surfaces 40 and 42. The peripheral surface of the drum 4 is made to press-contact with the surfaces of the small-diameter parts 44a and 46a formed on the members 44 and 46.
