PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method which can remove active carbon or microorganisms leak in an active carbon treatment apparatus and obtain the safe treated water of high quality, and to provide an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: By the water treatment method including a process in which ozone is injected into raw water, the first membrane filtration process in which the raw water into which ozone is injected is filtered, a process in which the first membrane-filtered water is subjected to active carbon treatment, and the second membrane filtration process in which the active carbon-treated water is further membrane-filtered, leaking substances such as active carbon and microorganisms are removed in the second membrane filtration process.
