PURPOSE: Provided is a lithium secondary battery which employs a gel-type electrolyte to improve the stability and the reliance by inhibiting the swelling due to an electrolyte solution effectively and preventing the leakage of an electrolyte solution. CONSTITUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly comprising a cathode, an anode and a separator between the cathode and the anode; a gel-type electrolyte; and a case having the electrode assembly and the filling member within. The gel-type electrolyte comprises 0.1-10 wt% of the polysiloxane compound represented by the formula: R1-O-(CH2)m-£Si(R2R3)-O|n-Si(R2R3)-O|n-Si(R2R3)-(CH2)n-O-R4; 0.5-50 wt% of polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate; 0.4-50 wt% of polyethylene glycol monomethyl acrylate; 0-5 wt% of ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate; and 50-97 wt% of an organic solvent containing 4-15 mol of lithium salts. In the formula, R1 is -C(O)CR5=CR6 or -CR7=R8; R2 and R3 are independent each other and are -CaH(2a+1) (a is 1-5), phenyl group, benzyl group or allyl group; R4 is -C(O)CR5=CR6R7, -CR8=R9R10 or -CaH(2a+1) (a is 1-5); m is 1-5; n is 1-100; and R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 are independent each other and are H or -CbH(2b+1) (b is 1-5). |
