PURPOSE: A method and a system for operating an international shopping mall are provided to enable the Internet users to easily purchase domestic and foreign famous articles by affiliating with foreign shopping malls. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises plural user clients(10) connecting to a web site providing an international shopping mall service through the Internet(30), plural foreign shopping malls(20) franchise-contracted with the operator of the web site, and a web site operator unit(50) sharing a shopping mall database with the foreign shopping malls and generalizing article selling, customs entry, and delivery by building a shopping mall database. As the foreign shopping malls share the shopping mall databases with other foreign shopping malls, the Internet users easily purchase domestic and foreign articles. The web site operator unit consists of a web server(51) generalizing product selling as a proxy, a web page(52) guiding all processes and displaying menus and advertisements on a screen, a member database(53), a member company database(54), a service database(55), a shopping mall database(56), an order information database(57), a customs entry execution system(58), and a customs entry execution information database(59).
