PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ruler for an escargot skirt, enabling a user to make an escargot skirt in a properly designated escargot pattern fitted to the positive bias of a fabric. SOLUTION: This ruler for an escargot skirt is necessary for making an escargot skirt through a process comprising superposing a paper pattern, a fabric and a ruler each for an escargot skirt together, marking them with French-chalk, and thereafter cutting them along the marks.
