PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control device for an induction motor which is made compact and at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the speed control device which connects a self-extinguish element 4 via a DC reactor 15 between output terminals of a converter 3, which is connected to the secondary side of the induction motor 2 and on-off controls the self-extinguish element 4 so as to control the output voltage of the converter 3, and a capacitor 16 is connected in parallel with the serial circuit of the self-extinguish element 4 and the DC reactor 15. |
