ELECTRICAL AND OPTICAL ASSEMBLY ENCLOSURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical and optical assembly enclosure which can enable high speed and large capacity optical signal processing and shorten optical fiber splicing time reducing damages on the optical fibers. SOLUTION: Plural electric circuits 1 and optical circuits 4 are arranged apart from each other respectively on both sides on a backboard 3. Those electric circuits 1 and the optical circuits 4 are attached in pairs in the same slot on the backboard 3. An optical transmission line 6 is laid crossing plural optical circuits 4 with an electric connectors 2 transmitting electric signals between the optical circuits 4 and the electric circuits 1 together with an optical connectors 5 to connect the optical circuits 4 and the optical transmission lines 4. Since the optical circuits and the electric circuits are separately mounted in two sections making it easy to handle when manufacturing, it is possible to obtain electric functions easy to control and high speed large capacity information transmission.
