PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that battery usable time is short at the time of driving a battery and to save power without damaging operability in a portable information processor having an input part such as a keyboard. SOLUTION: A first processing block 1 connected to an information input block 97 including the keyboard 201 is arranged and it is connected to a second processing block 98 to which a display part 2 having memory effect is connected. The first processing block 1 starts the second processing block 98 in a stop state in accordance with the input of the keyboard and the like, the display of the display part 2 is changed and the power supply of them or an operation is stopped. The display of the display part 2 is kept by memory effect. Thus, an information processor whose power consumption is drastically reduced without impairing the display characteristics of the display part 2 is obtained.
