A television receiving apparatus (1A) and its remote controller (2A) are provided with storage medium slots (25 and 41), respectively. When a user enters program reservation data on a remote controller (2A), this program reservation data is stored in an external memory (3) via the storage medium slot (41). The user attaches this external memory (3) to the storage medium slot (25) of the television receiving apparatus (1A). The television receiving apparatus (1A) reads the program reservation data from the external memory (3) and specifies a broadcast program corresponding to the program reservation data from already received and stored EPG information.
