PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method which can reduce the granularity of an output image, and can prevent the gradation of an output image from changing largely even in the case that the reemergence of middle gradation is instable. SOLUTION: Plural pieces of multivaiued dither thresholds are set by making plural pieces of threshold coordination coefficients delta (k)} (but, k=1,..., N) when defined that the number of expressed multivaiues is N, and also, setting these threshold coordination coefficients such that they are in monotonic increase, and that the sum total is zero, and besides in such relation that the kth code and the N-k+1th code are inverted, and substracting the threshold coordination coefficients form the stochastic screen value. |
