PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter device for reducing feeding failure including jamming of a packaging material. SOLUTION: The cutter device comprises a pair of openable/closable cutting knives and cuts the continuously banded packaging material fed by a feeding means on the upstream side by closing the knives while feeding of the packaging material is stopped. In the closed state, the knives are both overlapped with each other by a preset width in the cutting direction. Before the feed of the packaging material is started after cutting, the cutting knives are set opened, and the cutting knife on the downstream side is moved to the downstream side so as to be apart from the packaging material on the upstream side.
