METHOD FOR REALIZING NORMAL MEMORY SYSTEM USING DEFECTIVE MEMORY

PURPOSE: A method for realizing a normal memory system using a defective memory is provided, which is constituted with n memory chips by assembling n defective memory chips and a normal memory chip. CONSTITUTION: N defective memory chips(10-40) and one normal memory chip(50) are connected in parallel, and a CAS signal enabling to use the memory chips is inputted to an input port of each memory chip. Also, a switching circuit(100) is constituted, which decodes k upper address signals and controls an operation of each memory chip by its output signal. A transmission gate(200) is formed at an output side of each memory chip to transmit a data signal of an actually driven memory chip among the defective memory chips and the normal memory chip by the decoded upper address signals.
