PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll blind elevating apparatus which can prevent exposure of a winding shaft while facilitating descending operation of a screen to a lower limit location. SOLUTION: The screen 3 is elevated or lowered by supportively hanging the screen 3 from the winding shaft 2 rotatably supported by support brackets 1a and 1b, engaging an operating chain 6 with a pulley 5 arranged on one side of the winding shaft 2, and rotating the winding shaft 2 by operating the operating chain 6, to thereby wind/rewind the screen 3. Further, the operating chain 6 is comprised of a lower limit stopper 12 engaged with an engaging means 7, for setting the lower limit location of the screen 3. According to the thus constructed roll blind elevating apparatus, the lower limit stopper 12 is attached to the operating chain 6 so as to be engaged with the engaging means 7 prior to exposure of the winding shaft 2 when the screen 3 is rewound from the winding shaft 2.
