A conventional stator is made from a sheet stack, which is insulated by a plastic coating, and the stator pole teeth are connected to one another in a magnetically conductive manner. The inventive stator (20) has separate magnetically conductive sheet laminate stacks (16), which are held together by a plastic coating. The magnetic return ring (30) on the sheet stacks (18, 16, 1) is joined with play and rests on the stacks via a bayonet catch.
