LIGHT GUIDE BODY, LINE ILLUMINATOR AND IMAGE INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide body in which light generated from a light source can be efficiently emitted to a region to be illuminated, a line illuminator and an image input device. SOLUTION: The line illuminator is provided with the light guide body 101 composed of a rod shaped transparent member and the light source 102 arranged on an edge part in the longitudinal direction of the light guide body 101. The light guide body 101 is characterized by being equipped with scattering marks 103 scattering the light from the light source 102 being propagated inside the transparent member in directions nearly vertical to the longitudinal direction of the transparent member, a reflection plane 112 with a curved surface shape to reflect the light scattered by the scattering marks 103 inside the transparent member and a light emitting plane 113 to emit the light reflected with the reflection plane 112 outside the transparent member.
