PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communications system which enables communication by a plurality of radio channels, without changing hardware and a casing of a communication terminal performing the communication with an opponent communication terminal, and its communication method. SOLUTION: In the radio communications system which consists of a radio adapter 104 to communicate with a base station 103 by two radio channels, and facsimile 105 which is connected to the radio adapter and communicates with opponent facsimile 101, the radio adapter 104 receives release request of the radio channel from the facsimile 105, and when the facsimile 105 detects transmission rate of the opponent facsimile 101 and detects that the transmission rate turns into below the prescribed transmission rate, it notifies the release request of the radio channel to the radio adapter 104.
