PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an accuracy for measuring a temperature of a gas to be measured by setting a means for detecting piling in a waveguide and generating waveguide blocking-warning signals. SOLUTION: In this acoustic apparatus for measuring the gas temperature, a measured temperature value 107 of the gas 5 to be measured is operated by propagating sound waves in the gas 5 and measuring a propagation timeτof the waves. The apparatus is provided at least with a waveguide propagation time compensation value-estimating means (waveguide propagation time compensation value-estimating device) 201 for estimating a waveguide propagation time compensation value (τaa,τbb) based on the measured temperature value 107, and a waveguide blocking signal-generating means (detector for detecting piling in the waveguide) 200 for outputting waveguide blocking signals 220 when a difference (deviation signal) 212 of an output 211 of the waveguide propagation time compensation value-estimating means 201 and a measured value 221 of the waveguide propagation time compensation value is detected by a threshold-inspecting device 204 to exceed a threshold preliminarily set to a threshold-setting device 203.
