<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail structure capable of being stored in an inconspicuous place usually, and being exposed only in case of emergency. SOLUTION: This handrail structure comprises a pillar member 6, supporting members 7 vertically movable along the pillar member 6, a handrail structural body 8 hung between the supporting members 7, a driving mechanism for vertically moving the supporting members 7 along the pillar member 6, and a reinforcement supporting member 9 kept into contact with both of the pillar member 6 and the supporting members 7 relatively displaceably in the vertical direction, and the reinforcement supporting member 9 is held at a position same as the pillar member 6 in a case when the relative displacement between the pillar member 6 and the supporting members 7 is not more than a predetermined amount, and displaced in interlocking with the supporting member 7 in a case when the relative displacement is not less than the predetermined amount in the vertical relative displacement of the pillar member 6 and the supporting members 7.</p> |
