METHOD FOR PREVENTING SEDIMENTATION RATE DROP OF CARRIER AND METHOD FOR RECOVERING SEDIMENTATION RATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a drop in sedimentation rate of a carrier due to sticking and growth of a filiform microorganism on the carrier and to provide a method for recovering the dropped sedimentation rate in a waste water treating device using the carrier for immobilizing the microorganism. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing the sticking and the growth of the filiform microorganism on the surface of the carrier, a bulking suppressing agent is previously charged in biological reaction tank containing the carrier for immobilizing microorganism. In the method for recovering the dropped sedimentation rate of the carrier, the bulking suppressing agent is added to the treating tank using the carrier on which the filiform microorganism is stuck and grown.
