As a function of the speed of the vehicle and the angle of the steering, the method is used for expressing, in terms of stress, the input from the driver. If the actual measure of the stress does not correspond to the wishes of the driver, the active system compensates for this divergence and acts on the distribution of stress in the chassis. The actions of the driver, such as in braking, acceleration or clutching, is translated by the stress transmitted by the tires to the road. The actuators are controlled (active anti-roll, engine torque, braking torque, or active steering) by using data values of stress issued by the driver's actions.
