PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation which improves compatibility and stickiness to skins due to an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation contains an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer and an oil which can be dissolved in water in a concentration of 1 to 15 wt.% at 25 deg.C, can be dissolved in glyceryl tri 2-ethylhexanoate in a concentration of >=5 wt.% at 25 deg.C, and is liquid at 25 deg.C.
