PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center drive belt conveyor having a function for quickly attenuating and stabilizing the run-out of the belt generated during the operation. SOLUTION: An endless belt 3 is hung between tail rollers 2a, 2b, a driving roller 7 is laterally placed over left and right both sides 1a, 1b of a conveyor body (a), a returning path side of the belt 3 is wrapped on an outer peripheral face of the driving roller 7 from a lower face, a pair of snap rollers 8a, 8b are mounted at one side and the other side of the driving roller 7 to be respectively pressed to the outer peripheral face of the driving roller 7 to bring the belt 3 closely into contact with the outer peripheral face of the driving roller 7, an overall width of both snap rollers 8a, 8b is narrower than a width of the belt 3 by a predetermined amount, and the belt running out left or right is moved to a center by the difference in left and right tensile forces produced between the snap rollers 8a, 8b and the belt 3 rolled up on the tail rollers 2a, 2b.
