PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Hermann's catalyst and an analogues thereof without using Graves's catalyst industrially advantageously. SOLUTION: The Hermann's catalyst or the analogues thereof (1) can be producing via a production process (A) or a production process (B) (wherein R1 is a 1-12C alkyl, a cycloalkyl which may bear a 5-22C substitution or a 6-22C aromatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted; R2 is a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl, and the like; (n) is 0 or an integer of 1-5; (r) and (r') are each a 1-12C alkyl, a cycloalkyl which may be substituted or a 6-20C aromatic hydrocarbon group which may be substituted).
