PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally adjust the using amount of a temporary file at the time of job execution. SOLUTION: An attribute registration function 1 registers the capacity and extension amount of a file (temporary file) 13 to be used by a job 12 for respective conditions and stores them in a file attribute chart 11 before the execution of the job 12. When the job 12 is inputted to a computer system, the JCL description of the job 12 is analyzed by a job management function 4 and a JCL replacing function 2 replaces the part regarding the capacity and extension amount of the file 13 of the JCL description of the job 12 with the concrete value of the corresponding condition according to the file attribute chart 11. The job management function 4 allocates the file 13 of the capacity indicated by the value to the job 12 and makes execution be performed when no error is present in the JCL description. When the capacity lacks during the execution, it is extended by the capacity indicated by the extension amount and the file attribute chart 11 is updated by a capacity monitoring function 3.
