<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track ball device for operating the movement of a cursor on the display screen of electronic equipment, in which device the rotating operation of the ball can be performed with fine precision by generating a sense of clicking, and which device has the reduced idle angle and the reduced number of constituting members. SOLUTION: Plural recessed parts 6 and 7 are formed so that recessed and projection parts can be formed in the outer periphery of large-diameter butting parts 2A and 3A of a circular shaft-shaped X-roller 2 and a Y-roller 3 butted against the outer periphery of the upper face viewed orthogonal direction of a ball 5 for holding the ball 5 with a third roller 4, so that the ball is freely rotatable. Also, rotary encoders 10 and 13 are respectively connected to each roller. Thus, it is possible to realize a track ball device, which is operated finely precisely by generating a sense of click when rotationally operated, and has the reduced idle angle and the reduced number of constituting members.</p> |
