PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video receiver that can easily be used by the user. SOLUTION: The video receiver is provided with a tuner 1 that tunes a signal according to a preset TV program depending on a program identifier, a text decoder 2 that decodes text data resulting from arrangement of text data in each page driven by a page number signal transmitted in a form of a TV signal, an image generator 5 that generates cursor symbol data and image page data and outputs directly the data from a text page storage device 4 or the text decoder 2 onto a screen on which the image data are displayed, a cursor controller (CPU, 7) that places a cursor within the displayed image and triggers a specific procedure when a preset key is depressed, and a page changeover device (CPU, 3, 7) that selects a designated page number when the preset key is depressed while the cursor is placed on any of four margins of the image. |
