PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device, having high versatility and high utilization factor. SOLUTION: The gas discharge tube 1 applied to the light source device 30 comprises a light emission window 14a of a sealed container 2, a convergence opening 8a of a convergence electrode 8, an anode opening 6a of an anode 6 and as light transmission portion 21 of a stem 4 arranged in line. This arrangement is permitted by the light transmission portion 21 formed on the stem 4 and the anode opening 6a formed in the anode 6. Therefore, a light generated by discharge between the anode 6 and a cathode 9 can be emitted from the light emission window 14a of the sealed container 2, as well as a preset- wavelength light generated by an external light source portion 32 can be emitted from the light emission window14a. Further, a stem pin fixation portion 37 is provided in a lamp housing 31. The gas discharge tube 1 can be fixed to the lamp housing 31 via a stem pin 10, permitting the positioning of the gas discharge tube 1 utilizing the position precision of the stem pin 10. |
