PURPOSE: A gas alarm sensor monitoring device and a method thereof are provided to detect disconnection of a sensor continuously by comparing the initial value with the detected value, and to prevent an accident by detecting and alarming malfunction of the sensor. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer is initialized, and power is supplied to a sensor. The alarm set value of the sensor is input with detecting voltage from the sensor and storing the output value in a memory. A gas alarm system is installed, and power is supplied to the alarm system. The microcomputer reads the detected value in initializing the microcomputer. The detected value is compared with the alarm set value, and the sensor is decided to be normal within the ranges of the reference value. The sensor is monitored with alarming at the abnormal state. The gas alarm system is composed of a signal processing unit controlling operation of gas leakage, a switch input unit, a buzzer output unit, an LED(Light Emitting Diode) display unit and an output unit. The microcomputer detects voltage of the gas sensor, and the memory stores the initial detecting value as the alarm set value. The monitoring device alarms the trouble of the sensor by comparing the set value with the detected value.
