APPARATUS AND METHOD RECOVERING DAMAGE OF SYSTEM SOFTWARE IN INTERNET TELEVISION

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recovering a damage of a system software in an internet television are provided to perform continuously a transmitting process of new system software by using an emergency recovery program. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(100) is used for controlling an operation of an internet television according to a system software stored in a flash memory portion(102). The flash memory portion(102) is used for storing the system software for operating the CPU(100). An EPROM(104) is used for storing an emergency recovery program. A RAM(108) is used for storing temporarily necessary data of the CPU(100). A modem(106) modulates output data of the CPU(100) to analog signals or demodulates the receives analog signals. The modem(106) is connected with an internet through a telephone line in order to receive data from the internet or transmit the receives data to the internet television. The CPU(100) executes the emergency recovery program when the telephone line is disconnected with the modem(106) in a transmitting process of new system software.
