PURPOSE: The titled method and apparatus capable of stably maintaining the fluid pressure of a dye liquor by solving pressure change caused by temperature increase inside a dyeing bath, the volume difference of the dye liquor and the differential pressure of pumping in a circulating pump machine are provided, which can exhibit uniform color of a dyed product and minimize the difference in color of the dyed product. CONSTITUTION: The method for compensating the differential pressure of a yarn dyeing machine comprises the steps of: detecting the inlet pressure and outlet pressure of a dye liquor flowing in a dyeing bath and displaying the differential pressure thereof; changing the physical quantity of the differential pressure into an electrical signal; outputting specified frequency with an invertor by controlling the signal transmitted from the control part; and controlling the revolution number of a drive motor to circulate the dye liquor under specified pressure.
