PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing structure for an assist grip mounting part capable of sufficiently exhibiting shock absorbing effect with a simple structure and improving efficiency of assembly work of a vehicular body. SOLUTION: A member 18 where a bolt 20 for mounting an assist grip is secured is provided to a side rail 12 forming a ceiling part of the vehicular body, and a deformation enhancing hole 28, a stepped face 30, and a shock absorbing part 32 are formed to a side rail inner 16 with opposing to the bolt 20 for mounting the assist grip 10. The deformation of the side rail inner 16 is thereby enhanced to efficiently absorb shock when a tip of the bolt 20 for mounting the assist grip 10 abuts to the side rail inner 16.
