PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally conveying apparatus which is simple in construction and has a lift and a junction section which are not burdensome to the horizontally conveying apparatus of a truck. SOLUTION: There is provided a mechanically operated parking area which carries out horizontal transportation of a pallet 6 via the junction section 7 arranged between the lift 2 and the truck 5, by means of the lift 2 and the truck 5. In the parking area, the pallet 6 has an engaging groove 14 formed in a lower surface thereof in a longitudinal direction, and is guided so as to be horizontally moved. Further, the junction section 1 has a rotary arm 11 arranged at a leading end thereof, which arm has an engaging member 13 for engaging with the engaging groove 14.
