PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of classifying a ferrite magnet and its structure, wherein trouble caused by self magnetization of the ferrite magnet and its structure in a classification plant is substantially solved. SOLUTION: A method of classifying a ferrite magnet and its structure comprises a first process in which ferrite magnets and their structures are ground down, a second process in which the ground objects are cooled down to a temperature at which an inner magnetic field at a magnet operating point is reduced, and a third process in which an magnetic separating operation is carried out. The ground object is cooled down to a temperature at which the inner magnetic field at a magnet operating point is reduced, by which it is turned from a magnetic saturation state to an unsaturated state and demagnetized when it stops being cooled down. Therefore, trouble caused by magnetic attraction by self magnetization is substantially solved. This classification method can be applied to such a case in which even a ferrite magnet resides in a magnetic circuit. |
