PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate electric power by a generator without reducing the fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine, and to suitably warm up the internal combustion engine, in a warming up device for an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A clutch system 70 is laid between an internal combustion engine 10 and a generator 72 generating electric power by using the internal combustion engine as a power source. The clutch system 70 is actuated to couple the internal combustion engine 10 and the generator 72 when deceleration is demanded, and actuated to release coupling between both when acceleration or a constant speed is demanded. In this case, when acceleration or the constant speed is demanded, the generator avoids to generate electric power, so that reduction in fuel consumption is prevented. |
