PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small garbage disposal device which effectively dries garbage. SOLUTION: This garbage disposal device is constituted of a garbage container 12 having an approximately cone-shape in section for storing garbage, a vessel 11 containing the above garbage container 12, a heater 30 heating the garbage, a cover 24 installed freely to open and shut to cover the opening of the above garbage container 12, an air path exhausting steam outside from the above container 12, and an agitation means agitating the garbage. The agitation means is constituted of a fixed cutter 13 installed on the inner wall of the above garbage container 12 and a rotary cutter 14 installed freely rotatably on the center bottom of the above garbage container 12.
