PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror for a vehicle preventing backlash due to the vibration of a vehicle and having a supporting member for absorbing the deformation of a housing and a ring. SOLUTION: In the mirror for vehicle 22, an elastic member 26 integratedly formed so as to surround the surface, the side, and the back of the whole periphery part of a mirror base plate 24 is mounted on the mirror base plate 24. The supporting members 28a for setting the mirror base plate 24 are formed in plural places in the housing 28. After the mirror base plate 24 is supported in the supporting members 28a, the ring 30 is fit into the housing 28 from the opening direction of the housing 28 to join with the housing 28. By joining the ring 30 with the housing, the elastic member 26 installed in the mirror base plate 24 is held in a pressed state. By pressing the elastic member 26, the mirror base pate 24 is held without backlash.
