PURPOSE: A piston pin installation structure for hermetic compressor is provided, in which the piston pin has an insertion slot formed at the top of the piston pin, to thereby allow the piston pin to be inserted into the piston in an easy and rapid manner. CONSTITUTION: A piston pin installation structure comprises a piston(20) connected to a connecting rod, and which reciprocates in a linear fashion and has a connection chamber(21) formed at the rear end of the piston so as to allow an end of the connecting rod to be positioned in the connection chamber; a piston pin(30) for coupling the piston and the connecting rod, and which has an insertion slot(32) formed into a predetermined depth from the top surface of the piston pin; and a coupling pin(40) which penetrates through a coupling hole(24) formed at the rear surface of the piston and the insertion slot, so as to couple the piston pin to the piston. The piston pin has a guide protrusion(34) formed at the lower end of the piston pin, and the piston has a stepped groove(26) formed at the bottom surface of the connection chamber. The guide protrusion is inserted into the stepped groove so as to restrict the installation position of the piston pin.
