PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide visually disabled persons with a display unit for charged state and remaining charged capacity, which can easily and economically indicate charged state information or information about the remaining charged capacity of a rechargeable battery. SOLUTION: The display unit consists of a Braille indicator 203 for displaying Braille, keys 205 for selecting display information, a charge control circuit part 202 for controlling the charge of the rechargeable battery 201 and also for serving means for detecting charged state, an A/D converter 104 for measuring the charging voltage of the rechargeable battery 201, and a CPU 101. Based on the manipulation of keys 205, the CPU 101 gives control instructions to make the Braille indicator 203 show either the charged state concerning the charge control circuit part 202 as 'charging', 'charge completed', 'rechargeable battery abnormality' and so on, or the remaining charged capacity as full charge, 'almost half', or 'low remaining level' or the like.
