THERMAL FATIGUE TESTING METHOD

PURPOSE: A thermal fatigue testing method is provided to generate crack between bars of a transformation gauge in the thermal fatigue test and to considerably reduce time of thermal fatigue. CONSTITUTION: A thermal fatigue testing method includes the steps of processing an arc-shaped hole having a finishing width(A) which is 0.6¯1 times a sample thickness(B), a radius of curvature which is 1.5¯2.5 times the finishing width, and an angle under 180°formed between both ends of the finishing width and the center of the radius of curvature, measuring thermal fatigue life of a sample piece having the hole, measuring thermal fatigue life of another sample piece not having the hole and obtaining interrelation between the thermal fatigue lifes of the sample pieces, and obtaining thermal fatigue life of real thermal fatigue life.
