PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a musical sound generator that tone color variation similar to a natural musical instrument is obtained. SOLUTION: A DCF envelope, which is set to a fundamental sound frequency of musical sound waveforms WAVE that should sound generate a intial cutoff frequency, is started with a key-on. An envelope control that forms the waveforms WAVE is conducted by secular changing the DCF envelope. When the envelope reaches a sustain phase during the above process and is again converged to the initial cutoff frequency, a resonance envelope is started and a resonance control is conducted to emphasize the signal levels in the vicinity of the initial cutoff frequency. Thus, the fundamental sound components of the waveforms WAVE are emphasized from the sound generation to the sound muffling and tone color variation of a natural musical instrument, in which fundamental sound components and higher harmonic sound components are harmonized, is obtained. |
