CURRENT SUMMING TYPE DIGITAL/ANALOG CONVERTER

PURPOSE: To realize a current summing type digital/analog converter with the reduced power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The current summing type digital/analog converter is provided with a control terminal 17, the resistance of a resistor 10 deciding a reference current of a current mirror is doubled by applying a control signal to the terminal 17 to halve an operating current of a current cell matrix 1. On the other hand, the resistance of a current/voltage conversion resistor 16 is doubled to compensate for the decrease in the current and to maintain a digital/analog conversion output. Since an input in the vicinity of a full range does not usually occur, no problem is caused in the operating speed even when the current is decreased.
